Pete's General Freight

Pete’s General Freight was incorporated in 2009 by owner Pete Sawatzky, who continues to be the sole owner, as well as the primary dispatch.  Pete’s General Freight underwent a change of name in November 2011 to better describe its purpose.  Formerly Pete’s Livestock, we continue to serve our customers in the same reliable way as we always have.

Pete’s General Freight continues to operate on a small scale to ensure greater quality, efficient communication, and caring personnel.

Starting off as a family business with three tractors and three employees, we have expanded on a small scale to include five tractors and five employees.  We are anticipating future growth as we continue serving our customers.

Our goal is to keep our customers happy and satisfied by providing quick, reliable, and safe transportation.  We ensure that our drivers are honest and dependable. As we have built up a reputation of quality transportation, we have received recommendations by other brokers and shippers.

We specialize in hauling LTL, but we haul full truckloads as well.  Starting off with livestock—cattle, pigs, sheep, bison, and even horses, we have shifted our focus to step deck work.  Some commodities we haul include straw bales, construction supplies, machinery, steel, farm equipment, and even a town clock!
